Turkey Avocado Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for topping

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Cook the patties on a preheated grill or stovetop pan over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  • Toast the whole wheat buns on the grill for about 1 minute.
  • Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, a cooked patty, and sliced avocado. Add additional condiments if desired.
