Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for topping
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
- Cook the patties on a preheated grill or stovetop pan over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Toast the whole wheat buns on the grill for about 1 minute.
- Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, a cooked patty, and sliced avocado. Add additional condiments if desired.
