Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Mayonnaise and mustard for spreading
Instructions:
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form 4 patties.
- In a separate pan, sauté the sliced mushrooms and onions until they’re caramelized and tender.
- Grill the burger patties to your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute.
- Assemble the burgers with mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom bun, followed by the patty with melted cheese, and a generous portion of the mushroom-onion mixture.
